Response to demand from digital music and P-2-P customers
New York, NY (February 9, 2005) - Citing strong demand from new customers in the music and peer-to-peer industries, Javien Digital Payment Solutions, Inc. announced today that it is bringing the micropayment aggregation engine back into production as a component of its market leading e-commerce platform for selling digital content. The aggregation engine will be released in December along with numerous other enhancements, such as a web services module for improved customization. "We initially launched this service under the microCreditCardTM brand back in 2000, but for several years there was little demand for micropayment processing," says Leslie Poole, Javien CEO, "but now that's changed dramatically, especially for online music sites where it is essential for them to make single download sales economically feasible."
Javien's micropayment aggregation engine allows digital content merchants to choose how they want to bundle small charges before processing them onto a credit card based upon their specific business needs. For example, one merchant might determine 5 dollars as a threshold and another 10 dollars, and time-based rules can also be applied. Javien customers will now enjoy the option of both stored value and aggregation for handling micropayments, with built-in support to submit transactions through many leading payment processors. In 2000 Javien submitted non-provisional patent applications for this unique aggregation engine.
