Javien Unveils Next Generation of E-commerce Technology in V8.0
Technology enhances micropayment engine, handles an array of billing options and improves merchandising capability

McLean, Virginia—August 16, 2006

Today Javien Digital Payment Solutions, Inc., announced DPS V8.0 of its e-commerce technology. "In response to the needs of our customers, we are pleased to have developed our most flexible and comprehensive ASP software to date," said Leslie Poole, Javien CEO. "Digital content providers are increasingly challenged to meet the needs of consumers and business customers who demand choice in how they experience and pay for content. Our technology continues to evolve with the changing demands of our customers."

The next generation of the software features adaptive micropayment aggregation in Javien Micropay. While Javien's micropayment aggregation engine has been available since February 2005, this version features an adaptive technology that allows merchants to establish business rules that change based upon user history. The technology can employ various rules depending upon an individual buyer's behavior or the collective behavior of a category of individuals over time. With the exponential growth in digital content sales attributed mostly to the downloads of music tracks, the increase in sales of products at price points below $5 has created a much greater need for the cost-saving benefits of adaptive micropayment technology. However, Javien Micropay’s application reaches beyond digital content.

"Javien Micropay is product neutral," states Poole. "It has been deployed traditionally for digital content sales. However, it can support physical goods sales allowing us to service a variety of merchants who need to realize greater profit margins by saving on processing fees for small payments."

In addition to micropayment technology, merchants can take advantage of a host of new billing options and extend business outreach on a more global scale. DPS V8.0 empowers merchants to use a variety of billing options—bill to land line phone, SMS, bill to PayPal accounts and ACH. Expanded international support allows merchants to accept currencies of 40 different countries.

Finally, the next generation software offers improved merchandising capability through prototyping and expanded shopping cart features. According to Poole, "Our effortless prototyping feature may be the tool that provides greatest ease-of-use for our customers." Now merchants can test drive changes they wish to make to the technology through a new, online e-commerce development platform. Its user-friendly interface does not require the merchant to know HTML or XML and allows testing before implementation. Merchants can use Javien's shopping cart to handle order management and fulfillment for physical goods as well as digital content sales. This eliminates the need to work with different vendors.

Leslie Poole is speaking this week at Digital Hollywood’s "Where Content is King and Technology Rules!” on Thursday, August 17, 2006, from 2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The session is titled "Track II: Micropayments & MicroEconomies - Establishing a New E-Commerce Gateway to the Future."
